The Maven artificial intelligence system from Palantir will officially become a program of the U.S. Army. This is reported in a letter from U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Steve Feinberg dated March 9 to Pentagon leadership, which was reviewed by Reuters.
Maven is a software platform for command and control, capable of rapidly processing large volumes of data from satellites, drones, radars, sensors, and intelligence reports.
With the help of AI, it can automatically identify potential threats and targets, including enemy equipment, buildings, and ammunition depots. Today, Maven is already a key operational AI system for the U.S. Armed Forces.
"It is extremely important to invest in the development of AI now to integrate it into all branches of the military and make decision-making with its help the foundation of our strategy," Feinberg noted.
He added that the implementation of Maven will provide the military with "modern tools for detecting, deterring, and dominating adversaries in all domains."
Contracts with Palantir will be signed directly by the army.

The postal logistics group Nova is currently considering several banks for acquisition in order to strengthen the positions of the financial company NovaPay. This was reported in a comment to Forbes Ukraine by co-owner of the group Vyacheslav Klimov.
On March 19, during the Nova Summit, Klimov announced from the stage that the financial company of the NovaPay group may soon become larger than the financial company.
"We are considering several banks that are for sale on the market," Klimov clarified in a comment to Forbes Ukraine on March 23.
The goal of the acquisition is to expand the product line for Nova clients, he added.

The largest supplier of liquefied gas in the world, QatarEnergy, announced force majeure on March 24 for some long-term contracts for the supply of liquefied natural gas, writes Reuters. 
The company informed its counterparties about the impossibility of fulfilling certain obligations under LNG contracts. QatarEnergy cannot meet its obligations due to military actions and attacks on production facilities.
The restrictions affected customers in Italy, Belgium, South Korea, and China.
In early March, QatarEnergy had already declared force majeure for some buyers after the cessation of liquefied gas production.
The company's chairman stated that production would resume after the conflict in the Middle East ends. Specific timelines for returning to full supplies were not mentioned.

Pharmacies will close across Germany on March 23 due to a nationwide strike by their employees; In total, more than 160,000 people will participate in the strike. This is reported by TASS, citing the newspaper Bild.

The publication notes that pharmacy workers are outraged by "chronic underfunding". They are expected to go out on demonstrations in Berlin, Hannover, Düsseldorf, and Munich.

Apple is radically changing its approach to user security in the upcoming iOS 26.4 update. For the first time, the stolen device protection feature, introduced as early as 2024, will be automatically activated on all iPhones. Previously, users were asked to manually enable this option; now it will become the standard, although the option for manual deactivation will remain. The system will require mandatory biometric authentication through Face ID or Touch ID for access to passwords and credit cards and, unlike the current version of the OS, will no longer offer the option to enter a digital password as a backup. The second change concerns the Security Delay. If the iPhone is outside the home or work network, attempting to change the Apple account password will result in a mandatory delay of one hour, after which re-biometric verification will be required.
