When we talk about the Middle East’s economic future, we usually focus on oil, tourism, or shiny megaprojects. But lately, I’ve been thinking about something more foundational: digital sovereignty. It sounds technical, but really it’s simple. It’s the ability to own your identity, your data, and your digital life without relying on big platforms that might not have your best interests at heart.
That’s exactly why I’m bullish on @SignOfficial. Sign is building the infrastructure for self-sovereign identity on the blockchain. And honestly, that kind of infrastructure feels tailor-made for the Middle East right now.
Why? Because the region is going through a massive digital transformation. Saudi Vision 2030, the UAE’s digital economy push, all of it depends on trust.
