Recently, Nikita Bier, X's product lead, confirmed publicly that the platform is about to launch the 'Smart Cashtags' feature.
Simply put, in the future, when you see tags like $BTC, $ETH, or stock tickers on X, they will no longer be ordinary hashtags, but will become clickable entry points to view asset information. This feature will provide real-time prices, price trends, and other market data. Clicking on them will lead to a full asset page, and in the future, it may even support direct trading of cryptocurrencies or stocks.
01 X's strategic evolution: from social platform to 'super app'
This step is of great strategic significance. The signal released by the official is clear: in the future, users will have the opportunity to directly buy and sell cryptocurrencies and stocks on X. This means X is evolving from a 'platform for asset discussion' into the 'entry point for trading itself.' Even though it's currently just an entry-level feature, the product direction is already very clear.

The Russia-Ukraine conflict is likely to end in ceasefire. At that point, gold may experience a panic-driven correction, and newly printed money will shift toward Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I'm bullish on this trend.
