Analysis: The Fed may cut interest rates by 25 basis points in October and December 🏦📉

According to a report from CICC, U.S. inflation in September continued to cool:
• Overall CPI rose 0.3% MoM and 3.0% YoY.
• Core CPI rose 0.2% MoM and 3.0% YoY, lower than market expectations.

The decrease in price pressure mainly comes from housing and used cars, indicating weak consumer demand. CICC notes that this is related to the Trump administration's restrictive immigration policy, which has reduced domestic demand. Meanwhile, the prices of tariffed goods have risen slightly but are lower than expected, as businesses find it difficult to pass costs onto consumers.

Although service inflation remains high, the overall moderate data reinforces expectations that the Fed will continue to ease monetary policy.
