U.S. paper currency will bear President ‌Donald Trump's signature to mark ‌the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, a first for a sitting president. The Treasury ​Department said that the first $100 bills with Trump's signature and ​that of ​U.S. Treasury Secretary ​Scott Bessent will ‌be printed in June, followed by other bills in subsequent months.

🚫 Kentucky farm family rejects $26 million offer for 600 acres of land from unnamed AI data center suitor
A northern Kentucky woman says she declined a $26 million offer for a partial sale of her farmland that has been in her family for generations to build a data center. Ida Huddleston and her family own about 1,200 acres of farmland outside Maysville, Kentucky.
"The big offer is meaningless. As long as I’m on this land — as long as it’s feeding me — as long as it’s taking care of me — there’s nothing that can destroy me if I’ve got this land," — Huddleston's daughter, Delsia Bare, said.

In April, an unnamed Fortune 100 AI company reached out to them to purchase approximately half of the land. Land in Mason County is valued at about $6,000 per acre and the offer of $26 million is ten times this amount. "They call us old stupid farmers, you know, but we’re not. My grandfather and great-grandfather and a whole bunch of family have all lived here for years, paid taxes on it, fed a nation off of it," — Huddleston told. "Even raised wheat through the Depression and kept bread lines up in the U.S. of America when people didn’t have anything else."

Partnering with leading supply chain finance technology provider, Unloq, Ripple will pilot a use case aimed at transforming cross-border trade settlements. The project aims to showcase a viable model for Singapore’s future development of innovative and interoperable settlement infrastructure.

The joint initiative features Unloq’s SC+ trade finance infrastructure, which integrates trade obligations, settlement conditions, and financing workflows into a unified execution layer. The solution leverage Ripple’s institutional-grade infrastructure, the XRP Ledger (XRPL), and Ripple USD (RLUSD) - a trusted, enterprise-grade stablecoin, designed for enterprise use cases.

Payments are released only when predefined commercial conditions are met, such as shipment verification. This structure enhances risk transparency and supports improved access to financing for SMEs.

🌍 Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin enters the space data center game

Blue Origin, the space conglomerate founded by Amazon chair Jeff Bezos, has asked the U.S. government for permission to launch a network of more than 50,000 satellites that will act as a data center in orbit. Shifting massive compute to space is attractive because solar energy is free to harvest and, once in orbit, there are fewer regulations restricting corporate activities.

Blue Origin’s attorneys described “Project Sunrise” as a network of spacecraft that will perform advanced computation in orbit to “ease mounting pressure on U.S. communities and natural resources by shifting energy — and water-intensive compute away from terrestrial data centers.”

Ripple is expanding its digital asset services in Brazil while preparing to apply for a license with the country’s central bank, a move that would place it under the nation’s new crypto framework.

The company is rolling out an integrated platform for banks and fintechs that combines cross-border payments, crypto custody, brokerage and treasury tools. Ripple also plans to apply for a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license with the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB), in line with the country's new virtual asset regulatory framework.

🎮 The FBI is looking for victimized Steam users who downloaded games with hidden malware

The FBI is investigating a hacker suspected of publishing several video games laced with malware on the popular PC games store Steam. The FBI believes the threat actor primarily targeted users between the timeframe of May 2024 and January 2026.

The FBI listed the following games suspected of being developed by the same cybercriminal: BlockBlasters, Chemia, Dashverse/DashFPS, Lampy, Lunara, PirateFi и Tokenova. Multiple malicious games discovered on Steam over the past two years have distributed information-stealing malware designed to harvest credentials, cryptocurrency wallets, and other sensitive data from players' devices.

One of the most notable cases involved BlockBlasters - initially uploaded to Steam as a clean program, cryptodrainer malware was later added to the game. After downloading the game, streamer Raivo Plavnieks (RastalandTV) reported losing more than $32,000 from his cryptocurrency wallet. Blockchain investigator ZachXBT later estimated that attackers stole roughly $150,000 from 261 Steam accounts.

📺 YouTube ads are about to get even longer and they’ll be unskippable

YouTube viewers watching on TVs may soon have to sit through even longer ads, with Google rolling out new 30-second unskippable spots on its television app. The change means some ads that previously allowed users to skip after a few seconds will instead run the full half-minute with no option to bypass them except for subscribing to YouTube Premium.

“Google AI dynamically optimizes between 6-second Bumpers, 15-second standard, and 30-second CTV-only non-skippable ad formats, ensuring your campaign reaches the right audience at the right time,” - Google explained.

Mojtaba Khamenei has reportedly been hospitalized at Sina Hospital in Tehran.

According to the report, he was seriously wounded in the abdomen and leg and is currently connected to a ventilator. It is also claimed that he is not aware that a war has begun or that members of his family were killed in the bombings - let alone that he has been elevated to a leadership position.

The surgery was reportedly performed by Dr. Mohammad-Reza Zafarghandi together with Dr. Mohammad Marashi, the brother of the wife of former Iranian president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and a senior surgeon at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.

Reports also claim that the recent visit of Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian, alongside Dr. Zafarghandi two days ago, was in fact a visit to Mojtaba Khamenei, and that he is fully aware of his condition.

The atmosphere at Sina Hospital is described as extremely tight from a security standpoint.
Access to the intensive care unit is reportedly restricted to only a very small number of people.

💡3D printer that can mine Bitcoin uses excess heat for temperature control

PizzAndy created a 3D printing prototype that mines Bitcoin. The hybrid device is based on an open-source 3D printer design with a custom bed that is heat-controlled by throttling the Bitcoin mining ASICs attached to it. The printer bed is basically a heatsink.

The compact prototype is capable of a humble 500 GH/s when the bed is at 75 °C, says PizzAndy, but there are already plans for scaling and a tile-based model using Intel ASICs targeting at least 10 TH/s.

PizzAndy says the thought initially popped into his head 5 years ago, when he was heating his basement workspace (in the cold months) to help his 3D printers work better. The 3D printer/BTC enthusiast thought it would be “a cool thing” to mix these two technologies, but wasn’t sure about its commercial value. Since that time, he has become convinced that a commercial product is worthwhile.

Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, son of Ayatollah Khamenei, has been elected as the next Supreme Leader of Iran, Israeli media reported.
He was chosen as Khamenei's successor by Iran's Assembly of Experts, reports added.
Khamenei, who ruled the country for 36 years, was killed in the joint US-Israeli strikes on February 28 when he was in his 'compound'. Along with him, his daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter were killed. Khamenei's wife, Mansoureh Khojasteh Bagherzadeh, also died after succumbing to wounds sustained during the strikes.
