The rapporteur of the CPMI (Mixed Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) of the INSS (National Institute of Social Security), Deputy Alfredo Gaspar (União Brasil-AL), requested, in his final opinion, the preventive detention of businessman Fabio Luís Lula da Silva, known as Lulinha, the eldest son of the President of the Republic. The report still needs to be voted on by the committee. The vote is scheduled for the afternoon of this Friday (27).
The CPMI was unable to advance in the investigation of alleged "monthly payments" or trips that may have been funded by businessman Antônio Camilo Antunes, known as "bald guy from the INSS", identified as one of the main operators of the scheme. These indications and the "closeness" of Lulinha to the businessmen are mentioned in the opinion.
In the report, Gaspar justifies the request for preventive detention by citing Lulinha's departure from Brazil to Spain. The parliamentarian claims that the "fact that compromises the incidence of criminal law and frustrates the application of the legal system".
