The price of Bitcoin and other digital assets dropped sharply today, Saturday, following a U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran. The price of Bitcoin fell by about 3.8% to reach $63,000, while the price of Ethereum, the second-largest digital currency, decreased by 4.5% to reach $1,835.
According to data from CoinGecko published by Bloomberg, about $128 billion was wiped from the market value of digital assets immediately following this news. These losses represent an extension of a sell-off that has lasted for months in the cryptocurrency markets, which began shortly after the price of Bitcoin peaked at over $126,000 in October.
