THE GLOBAL INFRASTRUCTURE FOR CREDENTIAL VERIFICATION AND TOKEN DISTRUTION
everything is broken. that’s the truth.
you sign up somewhere, verify yourself, connect wallet, do tasks… cool. then you go to another platform and do the same thing again. same proofs. same steps. over and over. nothing carries over. it’s stupid.
and rewards? even worse.
airdrop hunters everywhere. bots farming everything. real users get scraps or miss out completely. projects say they reward “real contributors” but half the time they don’t even know who those are. it’s just wallets clicking buttons faster than everyone else.
so yeah… the whole “trust” and “reputation” thing? mostly fake right now.
this is where sign protocol at least tries to fix something real.
it’s not doing magic. it’s just attestations. one party says “this person did this” and that record stays there, verifiable. that’s it. simple idea. but it actually matters.
because now you don’t have to keep proving the same thing again and again. your credentials can move with you. different apps can read the same data instead of forcing you to restart every time.
and for rewards… it’s a bit more fair. not perfect, but better. projects can look at actual history instead of guessing or just rewarding whoever shows up first. less noise. less blind distribution.
still not a perfect system. people will find ways to game it. they always do. crypto hasn’t magically fixed human behavior.
but at least this is solving a real problem instead of pretending everything is fine.
right now everything feels disconnected. your history is stuck in random places. your reputation means nothing outside one platform. it’s all fragmented.
sign protocol feels like it’s trying to connect that. quietly. no big hype. just building something that should’ve existed already.
maybe it works. maybe it doesn’t.
but doing the same broken stuff over and over clearly isn’t working either.
