Singapore-based cryptocurrency firm Penguin Securities has announced the completion of a financing round totaling approximately 2.8 billion yen, equivalent to $18 million. According to Odaily, the investment was led by several Japanese institutions, including mint and Tokyo University of Science Investment Management Company. The company was founded in February 2023 by Japanese entrepreneurs Yuya Kuratomi, Kentaro Kawabe, and Sho Setoguchi. Penguin Securities obtained a Capital Markets Services license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in 2025.
