Vitalik Buterin has just announced that 2026 will be the year Ethereum rediscovers its original identity: freedom – privacy – decentralization, true to the spirit of the early cypherpunk. After many years of expanding for the masses, ETH is preparing… to correct itself.

🧱 Reducing trust in third parties: Local verification, no longer having to “blindly trust” data providers.
🔑 More secure wallets: Standardizing social recovery, timelock, no need for cloud or custodial services.
🌐 Decentralized front-end: Using IPFS to avoid interface hijacking and loss of access to assets.
