Cryptocurrency has been officially banned by the Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) since 2020, and violations may result in account closure, imprisonment, and monetary fines. Due to the economic crisis in Myanmar, USDT P2P exchanges are increasing; however, these actions could further destabilize the financial system. Risks of legal and banking operations: Bank accounts may be subjected to closure if cryptocurrency exchanges are detected, and accounts such as KBZ and AYA may face freezing, leading to daily transactions being disrupted. Consequences of illegality: Domestic transactions can be classified as illegal currency, and the military junta's financial control may become more stringent.
