đșđžđȘđșUSA demands direct access to European police data The United States is addressing agencies of the Enhanced Border Security Partnership (EBSP) directly with European police databases containing biometric data such as fingerprint examinations and synthetic images. Affected would not only be travelers but all individuals whose data is stored in police or border systems. New and interested parties have indicated their preferred direction of rights: So far, data exchange only takes place according to the "hit/no-hit" principle. The project raises significant data protection and fundamental rights concerns, as it could collide with the GDPR and EU law. The United States has only one objective: a political agreement of the EU with the United States, which is a complex legal and political system. #UE #USA
