As a final variable, we have the consequences of the government shutdown that significantly affected the #liquidez. With federal spending paralyzed, the government recorded a budget surplus, withdrawing billions of dollars from the system. This, combined with the fact that rates would not be reduced in December, notably weakened the risk appetite in the United States.
