Many people jump into the cryptocurrency world with 1000U or 2000U, only thinking about 'getting rich overnight'.
But what’s the reality? Often, they blow up their accounts in three days and lose everything in seven. Though this may not be pleasant to hear, I have observed for eight years, and the situation truly is as such.
Last year, a fan messaged me, saying his account only had 1000U left, urgently asking what to do.
I told him: stop thinking about doubling your money; first, learn to 'survive' in the cryptocurrency world.
Three months later, he excitedly sent me a screenshot showing that his account had 48,000U!
He didn’t rely on insider information, didn’t bet on directions, nor did he chase after hot tips; he just adhered to three 'simple' principles.
Principle One: Never put all your funds at risk.
Entering with 1000U, if you throw 900U into a single trade and use high leverage, that’s not trading; it’s pure gambling.
The correct approach is to divide the money into three parts: one part for short-term trades to capture fluctuations; one part to wait for trending markets and act accordingly; and the last part is 'survival money', which should never be touched. As long as the principal is intact, the chance to turn things around exists.
Principle Two: Do not act without a market.
In the cryptocurrency world, making money doesn’t rely on frequent trading but rather on sufficient patience. Making dozens of trades in a day may seem diligent, but in fact, it often just means giving fees to the exchanges.
Those who truly make money only trade when the trends are clear. After making a profit, withdraw a portion—only when the money is in your own pocket does it count as truly earned.
Principle Three: Rules come first, emotions aside.
Small fund traders often make three common mistakes: not cutting losses when losing, holding on when prices drop, and chasing prices when they rise. The result is often deeper losses and worse outcomes.
Those who can truly survive in the cryptocurrency world understand one principle: cut losses promptly when wrong, and exit decisively when in profit.
Is 1000U little? Not at all. What’s frightening is being restless, always thinking about making a comeback in one go.
Remember: in the cryptocurrency world, first protect your principal and survive, only then do you have the right to talk about making money.
