Let’s try to understand
Sign gets described as a trust layer, but I think the harder question is about authority. What actually travels here: proof, recognition, or just cleaner records? If an attestation is globally verifiable, who still decides whether it counts locally? If credentials become portable, does power really shift, or does the same institution just get a better dashboard? And when the system breaks under pressure, dispute, delay, mismatch, who carries the burden then: the protocol or the user? That is what I keep looking at with Sign. Not whether it looks modern, but whether it changes the structure underneath, or simply makes gatekeeping feel smoother.
