From Web2 to Web3: The shift from owning an account… to owning an identity
In Web2, we use the internet… but we do not own it:
Content, data, and the audience — all under the control of platforms.
In Web3, the equation changes:
Ownership returns to the user, identity becomes independently digital, and trust is built on code rather than intermediaries.
This is not just a technical evolution…
But an economic transformation that redistributes value from companies to individuals.
And although Web3 is still in the building phase, the trend is clear:
The future will be a blend of the ease of Web2… and the ownership of Web3.
