Massive protests against the administration of President Donald Trump are taking place in cities across the United States as part of the 'No to Kings' campaign. This is already the third national event: previous events gathered millions of participants and caused a wide resonance in society.

The organizers declare that their protest is aimed against a number of key initiatives of the administration, including military actions in Iran, increased federal control over immigration, and the rising cost of living. “Trump wants to rule us like a tyrant. But this is America, and power belongs to the people, not to self-proclaimed kings or their billionaire henchmen,” the official statement of the action organizers says.

In response, a representative of the White House characterized the protests as 'therapy sessions for Trump madness' and added that they are only interesting to 'journalists who are paid for their coverage.'

On Saturday, demonstrations took place in almost all major cities across the country, including New York, Washington, and Los Angeles. Washington, D.C. was engulfed in rallies throughout the day: participants of the action marched down the National Mall and lined up along the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

As at previous 'No to Kings' actions, protesters held effigies of Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and other representatives of the administration, calling for their resignation and arrest. Participants carried placards criticizing key political decisions of the current government.

Particular attention was drawn to the action in Minnesota, where in January federal immigration agents killed two U.S. citizens — Rene Nicole Good and Alex Pretti. These events sparked public outrage and became one of the reasons for national protests against the Trump administration's immigration policy.

The 'No to Kings' rallies continue to unite hundreds of thousands of people across the country, demonstrating growing discontent with certain directions of the White House's policies and citizens' desire to participate in shaping the course of the state.
