And then there’s the bigger picture. Adoption.

It’s one thing to design something like SIGN. It’s another thing entirely to have people actually use it. Systems like this don’t just work because they exist — they work because people believe in them enough to participate.

I imagine it starting small. A few communities experimenting with it. Testing its boundaries. Finding what works and what doesn’t. Some people getting excited about the possibilities. Others staying cautious, maybe even skeptical.

And over time, maybe it grows. Or maybe it stays niche. It’s hard to predict.

What I keep coming back to, though, isn’t whether SIGN will “succeed” or not. That feels like the wrong question. The more interesting question, at least to me, is how it changes the way people think about value.

If we start relying on systems like this, do we begin to equate value only with what can be verified? Do we slowly ignore the things that don’t fit into that structure?

Or do we find a balance — using systems like SIGN for what they’re good at, while still holding onto a broader, messier understanding of what matters?

I don’t know.

And maybe that’s why I keep thinking about it.

Because it doesn’t feel finished. It feels like something that will only really reveal itself once people start using it in ways no one fully expected. Once it runs into edge cases, contradictions, real human behavior.

I guess I’m curious to see what happens then.

Not just how the system holds up — but how people adapt around it, push against it, reshape it in small ways.

And whether, in the end, it becomes something that quietly supports human coordination… or something that subtly reshapes what we believe is worth recognizing in the first place.

And maybe the real story of SIGN hasn’t even started yet.

Maybe it only begins the moment it slips out of theory and into people’s lives, where nothing behaves quite the way it was designed to.

I keep wondering which parts will hold steady… and which will quietly bend under pressure.

There’s something unsettling about a system that can define what’s real — and something equally fascinating about watching it try.

What happens when people start shaping themselves around what the system can see?

Or when they begin to push back against it in ways no one predicted?

I guess the most interesting part isn’t whether SIGN works — it’s what it changes in us once it does.
