The total supply of Bitcoin in profit stands at 60.6%, continuing its movement within a range historically associated with market cycle resets. The metric previously fell to 50.8% on February 5th, its lowest level since January 2, 2023, leaving a large portion of holders at breakeven or at a loss.
Similar conditions in past cycles have preceded strong upward movements. In January 2023, BTC was trading at US$16,000 when profit levels were comparable, at 51%, before a surge of 655% to US$126,000 in 2025.
A similar situation occurred in March 2020 when the total supply in profit fell below 50% while BTC was trading at US$6,500, before a movement to US$69,000 in 2021.
