The Man Who Survived Two Atomic Bombs

"He whom God protects, no one can harm."

Tsutomu Yamaguchi is the only person in history officially recognized to have survived two atomic bombings.

On August 6, 1945, Yamaguchi was in Hiroshima on a business trip when the United States dropped the first atomic bomb. While the entire city was devastated, Tsutomu managed to survive with only injuries. He eventually made his way back to his hometown—Nagasaki.

Just three days later, the second atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. Miraculously, Yamaguchi survived this second blast as well. He lived until 2010, serving as living proof of the proverb: "He whom God keeps, no one can kill."

It really makes you wonder about fate. Have you ever encountered someone in your own life who had a "brush with death" or a story of survival that seemed almost impossible?
