Ripple has joined the BLOOM initiative of the Monetary Authority of Singapore together with Unloq. They will test settlements in international trade using XRPL and the stablecoin RLUSD.
The company reported that the pilot project focuses on programmable settlements between countries.
The testing uses the Unloq SC+ infrastructure. It operates on smart contracts and combines trading obligations, settlement conditions, and financing in one process.
XRP Ledger and the corporate stablecoin RLUSD are also involved.
The BLOOM initiative was launched in October 2025. Its goal is to expand settlement capabilities through tokenized bank liabilities and regulated stablecoins.
The pilot is launched a few months after Ripple received an extension of its license in Singapore. This concerns the payment services license held by Ripple Markets APAC.
Digital settlement assets are used within the project. This includes stablecoins and tokenized bank liabilities.
Payments in RLUSD will only be made when previously set transaction conditions are met.
Companies note that such a model should reduce risks in settlements and simplify access to trade financing for small businesses.

They discussed how the current securities law interacts with tokenized assets and the companies that issue them.
Examples have been added. It was explained what information needs to be disclosed. Plus, conditions for pilot launches were specified.
