The princes have finally stopped waiting! The UAE is personally ready to 'step in' and form a multinational force to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
According to a report by the Financial Times, the UAE has informed its Western allies that it is prepared to send naval forces to join a multinational task force aimed at reopening the strait, with a clear goal: not to go to war with Iran, but rather 'Iran is declaring war on the global economy, and countries must stand up.'
The UAE is working with Bahrain to push the United Nations Security Council to authorize this force, although China and Russia may oppose it. The CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company bluntly stated, 'Iran has taken control of the strait, and every country is paying ransom at gas stations, grocery stores, and pharmacies.'
Currently, only Bahrain has made clear support, while Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia remain hesitant—wanting to weaken Iran with the help of the U.S. but fearing a more radical and difficult neighbor after the war.
Meanwhile, Trump has floated the idea of 'negotiations,' but Gulf countries fundamentally do not believe it. A professor from Kuwait University pointed out: every time Trump talks about 'negotiations,' it ultimately leads to war. Gulf countries do not want to get caught up in 'Trump-style showmanship,' yet they are forced to stand on the front lines.
Whether to fight or not, whether the strait will open or not, these countries have no choice. #特朗普希望尽快结束对伊朗战争
