Why is no one talking about this

Trump's announcement of a 5-day pause is not random.

There are two main reasons for this, and the second will shock you.

The first reason is to calm the markets.

Since the start of the U.S.-Iranian war, U.S. stocks have been heavily sold off.

Additionally, the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds is rising, and the odds of a rate cut from the Federal Reserve have shifted to a rate hike.

As we know, Trump cares more about the stock and bond markets than anything else.

Today's announcement was simply to lower bond yields and provide some relief to the stock market.

Also, the 5-day deadline will end on Friday after the close of the U.S. market, so the markets could rise until then.

Now, back to the second reason.

A few days ago, it was reported that the U.S. ship U.S.S. Tripoli, an amphibious assault ship carrying 2,200 Marines, is moving towards the Middle East.

It will take this ship about 3 to 5 more days to reach the Strait of Hormuz.

And do we know the purpose of that?

To secure the Strait of Hormuz and allow oil tankers to pass.

Since the beginning of the war, everyone knows that the strait is Iran's strongest weapon.

The United States is trying to control it, and that takes time.

By granting a 5-day deadline, Trump is not only giving relief to the markets but also buying enough time for U.S. ships to arrive.
