An investigation into the #libra memecoin uncovered a document detailing an alleged $5,000,000 payment for its promotion, reportedly linked to Argentina’s president, Javier Milei.

The materials were found on devices belonging to crypto lobbyist Mauricio Novelli — correspondence suggests coordination among participants and contacts with the president’s inner circle prior to posts about the token.

After Milei’s public support, LIBRA’s market capitalization briefly exceeded $4.5 billion, but then collapsed by 96%, while wallets associated with the project withdrew around $107 million.
