Technological Development and Roadmap 2026
#Ethereum✅ has transitioned to a new update model — now the network will receive two major updates per year.
1. Glamsterdam (H1 2026): Expected in the first half of this year. The main goal is the implementation of parallel transaction processing and an increase in the gas limit to 100–200 million. This should raise the throughput of the main network to 10,000 TPS.
2. Hegota (H2 2026): Scheduled for the second half of the year. The focus will shift to privacy, censorship resistance, and protection against quantum computers.
3. L2 Networks: The total value locked (TVL) in second-layer networks has reached $38.2 billion, confirming the dominance of the Ethereum ecosystem in the DeFi sector.
