Everything is on-chain, but what happens when the app that made the data just… dies?
Frontends disappear
APIs break
Links rot
Suddenly that permanent data is basically useless.
Sign does something subtle here.
It decouples the proof from the app that created it.
So even if the original app is gone, the proof still points to something verifiable. The state survives.
That’s actually a big deal.
It reminds me of PDFs you can still open one years later even if the company that made the software is long gone. The format holds up.
Same idea here, but for proofs.
Most systems don’t think that far ahead. They optimize for now.
This feels like someone actually considered what happens… later.
