As the event ends in less than 17 hours, there is only one day left! I believe many ordinary people, like me, become more anxious as the end approaches. We spend our days waiting for activities and completing tasks, working hard for half a day just to gain a few points. Looking at those top players on the leaderboard who easily score hundreds or even thousands of points, I can't help but ask: what do we ordinary people need to do to make it onto the board? With just this little progress, is it even worth it for us ordinary people to continue participating in such events?

To be honest, I initially joined this event for the sake of $NIGHT . Who wouldn't want to take advantage of an event to gain some benefits? Moreover, the Midnight Network itself is quite promising. As a privacy-first blockchain within the Cardano ecosystem, it protects transaction privacy and data security through zero-knowledge proof technology. With such a technically supported project, the future value of $NIGHT is bound to be promising, which is the core reason I have been holding on.

But it really is tiring to persist until now. Signing in, forwarding, commenting each day, after going through the whole process, I only gain 3-5 points. Sometimes I forget the ranking and have to fall back. Watching the gap between me and the big shots grow larger, I've thought about giving up several times, thinking that anyway I won’t make the leaderboard, what's the point of all this effort?

Until yesterday, I chatted with a friend in the group who is also an ordinary person. The more we talked, the clearer I became, and the more anxious I felt. He complained to me that for us ordinary people participating in NIGHT's activities, to put it bluntly, it’s just a gamble. If we don’t make the leaderboard, then everything is wasted, with no rewards at all. All the previous effort is in vain, and there is no long-term benefit to speak of. Not making the leaderboard means that no matter how much we understand NIGHT or how familiar we are with the ecosystem, it’s all useless and meaningless.

Many people may not know that NIGHT is not just a trading token, but the core of the Midnight Network ecosystem. It can be staked to ensure network security, participate in ecosystem governance, and generate DUST for private transactions. Moreover, its dual-token model balances privacy and compliance, making it practical for both ordinary people and corporate data protection. This is the biggest difference between it and other privacy coins.

Speaking of rushing for the leaderboard, I researched the activity rules and found that ordinary people do have opportunities; it’s just that we haven’t found the right methods. Those who make the leaderboard do not rely on check-ins to accumulate points, but instead take the high-point tasks seriously, such as sharing their understanding of Midnight Network's zero-knowledge proof technology and promoting the uses of NIGHT. These tasks have high point values; we just find them troublesome and are unwilling to do them.

We ordinary people shouldn’t think we can get rich overnight. Persisting in doing basic tasks every day, the points do accumulate to quite a bit. But I must emphasize again, this time the NIGHT activity is really too strict. Not making the leaderboard means no rewards at all, none at all. There is no luck involved. All previous check-ins, forwards, and comments are wasted effort if we don’t make the leaderboard. The only goal of us doing tasks is to rush to the leaderboard for NIGHT rewards; nothing else matters.

There is only one day left until the event ends. It would indeed be a pity to give up now, but on the other hand, if we don't make the leaderboard in the end, then all the effort over the past few days will be wasted, and we will gain nothing, which is completely meaningless.

We don’t need to compare ourselves to the big shots, but we also shouldn’t deceive ourselves. We should do what we can and fight for the last day. If we make the leaderboard, we gain; if we don’t, we can only accept it. But at least we tried; that’s better than giving up halfway and not having any chance at all.

Finally, I advise everyone not to give up over a few points. Persist for one more day; after all, if we don’t make the leaderboard, it will all be wasted. Even if there is a glimmer of hope, we must seize it.#night
