Midnight Network has made efforts to resolve the conflict between transparency and privacy in Web3 through “rational privacy”, with strengths lying in a pragmatic approach, designed as an additional layer and a relatively reasonable technical model; however, the project still faces many questions about the actual market demand, ecosystem dependence, experience complexity, and value accumulation potential, leading me to believe that this is a step in the right direction but may not be necessary enough to achieve widespread adoption. The success of Midnight now depends not only on technology but also on whether the market truly needs a layer of “controlled privacy” in Web3.
