Sometimes I feel like the quiet part of a project tells you more than the loud part… and $NIGHT has been feeling a bit too quiet in the places that matter.
At first, I saw Midnight like most people probably did — privacy, protection, clean narrative. It felt simple. Almost obvious. Like something the market would eventually “get.”
But lately I keep coming back to what happens after someone actually uses it.
Not the transaction… but the responsibility that follows.
Because privacy sounds clean until something goes wrong.
Then suddenly… no one really wants to be accountable.
I’m starting to think the real friction isn’t technical, it’s human.
Like… how do systems built on hiding information deal with trust over time?
Who verifies behavior when visibility is limited?
And more importantly… do users even care until it affects them directly?
Maybe I’m overthinking it, but it feels like the market still treats privacy as a feature… not a long-term burden.
And I don’t think we’ve really seen how that plays out yet.
What happens when the system needs transparency… but it was never designed for it?
