Amid all the noise around “AI chains,” a more practical question keeps coming to mind:
When you spend money on-chain, can you share it selectively—only with those who truly need to know—just like in real life?
For me, Midnight is an engineering take on exactly that idea. By building on UTXO + zero-knowledge proofs, it creates a middle ground between full public transparency and total anonymity: auditable, configurable, and practical. It provides an interface for institutions and auditors, while preserving everyday users’ privacy and dignity.
What I’ll continue watching is whether $NIGHT can truly enable useful privacy DeFi, rather than just moving funds anonymously under a new label.
