On March 20, the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a warning that fraudulent token scams impersonating the FBI have appeared on the Tron blockchain network. Scammers are sending so-called 'FBI tokens' to users' wallets, accompanied by messages claiming that users are suspected of violating anti-money laundering regulations, threatening to freeze their assets in order to induce users to disclose personal information. The FBI reminds users that if they receive such tokens with specified account information, they should not provide identity information to any related website and should report suspicious activities to the Internet Crime Complaint Center. The number of affected users is currently unclear.
