Today I saw @0xMantleCN @Mantle_Official release Agent Skills + Agent Scaffold, and many people's first reaction was: "A few lines of code can run an AI Agent."
But what I really noticed was not the code, but that AI has finally started to get hands-on.

It all sounds impressive, but when it comes to execution on the chain, problems arise:

How to check the protocol
How to send transactions

So the real state of many Agents is that they can write strategies but cannot perform actions.
Smart is smart.
The hands haven't connected yet.
2｜What Scaffold does is not simply to simplify the code.
Many people see five lines of code and think it's convenient for development. But I believe what Mantle truly solves this time is the distance that developers are most likely to give up.
From wanting to be an Agent to the first time I got the Agent running in between.

Connect interfaces
Test return
Fix errors
Each step is not difficult, but each step consumes enthusiasm; many projects do not fail due to technology but because they say 'Forget it, it's too troublesome.'
What Scaffold does is to push this layer of friction down, so it looks like a tool update, but it’s more like an upgrade for developer entry.
3｜Why is this matter more important on Mantle?
If a chain has only tools and no funding.
No matter how smart AI Agents are, it doesn't help if there's nothing to do, but Mantle's situation is different.

Further ahead, there is ERC-8004.
It solves the identity and credibility of the Agent, while Scaffold solves the execution capability of the Agent.

Being able to run is certainly a good thing, but what's more important next are three things.

Today is about faster access; can it cover in the future:
Complex DeFi
Cross-protocol tasks
RWA data
Automated strategies
The tool entry solves the start.
Skill depth determines the ceiling.
②｜Is the risk control guardrail thick enough?
Once Agents start touching financial tasks.
Permissions
Rollback
Log
Risk control
Must be very clear.
The more user-friendly the tools are.
The boundaries are increasingly important.
③｜Will Builders stick around?
Launching tools can easily bring excitement.
The real challenge is to make developers not just 'try it out' but to 'work here in the future'.
Ecosystems are never built in a single release; they are iteratively stacked.
5｜The true significance of this update
Mantle is not making the AI narrative bigger. It is enabling Agents to truly connect to on-chain workflows.
From this perspective.
Mantle is slowly becoming an execution layer for Agent-native financial workflows.
It's not the liveliest narrative, but it may be the most valuable; scaffolding is never made for lazy people; it’s for those who really want to build the building.
So I am more curious about which layer Mantle will prioritize next? Deeper Skills, more complete risk control templates, or the data and asset interfaces of Agent × RWA? This might be the most critical step after Agent Scaffold.
