Zambia Crypto Update 🇿🇲 | What BoZ Regulation Means for Us
The Bank of Zambia (BoZ) has instructed crypto service providers to register by March 27, 2026.
Let’s be clear — this is not a crypto ban.
It’s the start of regulation.
What’s actually happening?
• Crypto businesses must register with BoZ
• Unregistered providers may be cut off from banks
• Focus is on service providers, not individual traders
What this means for us as traders:
✅ You can still trade crypto
✅ Your assets (BTC, ETH, ZEC) are safe
⚠️ But: • Deposits/withdrawals via banks may change
• Unregistered platforms may face restrictions
The bigger picture
This move is about: • Reducing scams
• Increasing transparency
• Bringing crypto into the formal system
My take
Regulation might feel restrictive at first…
But long term, it builds trust and stability in the crypto space.
The real risk is not regulation —
it’s using unverified methods and platforms.
Stay smart: Trade on trusted platforms.
Avoid “guaranteed profit” schemes.
Focus on learning and consistency.
