Are institutions starting to shift to $ETH ?
BitMine bought 60,999 coins of $ETH in a week, which is about 120 million dollars. Following MicroStrategy's accumulation of $BTC , another listed company has made a significant investment in crypto assets.
But this time, the choice is ETH, not BTC.
Why?
- ETH staking has yields, annualized 3-4%
- After the ETF approval, institutional allocation demand has increased
- Market capitalization is smaller than BTC, providing greater elasticity
Is this a signal for institutions to rotate from BTC to ETH? Or is it merely diversification?
If more listed companies learn from BitMine, institutional holdings of ETH will rise rapidly.
