In today's rapidly developing AI landscape, how is your job, and will it be replaced by AI?
Andrej Karpathy, co-founder of OpenAI and former AI director at Tesla, evaluated the extent to which 342 occupations are affected by AI and automation according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The scoring ranges from 0 to 10, with 10 representing the highest risk of impact.
8-9: Software engineers, lawyers, data analysts, etc.
6-7: Kindergarten teachers, HR, etc.
3-4: Nurses, chefs, etc.
1-2: Construction workers, cleaners, animal caretakers, etc.
The higher the salary, the more dangerous it is. It seems one might consider getting a certificate as an animal caretaker to care for pandas 🐼.
Hold on, aren't construction workers and cleaners going to be replaced by armies of robots in the future? Is it really true, as Musk said: that all jobs in the future will be optional?
