Supertrend – The indicator that tells you 'Stop' or 'Go' without beating around the bush

Are you tired of analyzing ten indicators and getting ten different answers? Sometimes, in crypto, the best strategy is the simplest one. Supertrend is exactly that: the traffic light that tells you whether it's time to be bullish or if it's better to stay hidden in the den.

I am #NexusBull and today we talk about the most intuitive indicator on the chart: #Supertrend

What is Supertrend, in layman's terms?

Imagine a bodyguard walking behind the price. As long as the price rises, the bodyguard follows at a safe distance (green line). If the price "trips" and falls below the bodyguard's arm, he instantly turns into a strict guard blocking your path (red line).

Supertrend looks not only at the price but also at how "crazy" the market is (volatility). The more volatile the market is, the further the bodyguard stays from the price, so he is not fooled by a false move.

How do we read it, on Spot?

On Spot, we do not need adrenaline every minute. We are looking for clear trends to enter and stay calm.

Green means Profit: When the line is below the price and is green, we are in "Buy" territory. It doesn't mean you have to buy infinitely, but that the trend is on your side. On Spot, this is our comfort zone.

Red means Stalking: When the line goes above the price and turns red, the trend has broken. It's the moment when I, as a trader, take my profit and step back. I don't try to catch the falling knife while Supertrend is red.

The "Switch" signal: The magic moment is when the color changes. If we have had a long period of red and suddenly "buy" appears and the line turns green, it's a sign that the market has come to life.

The trap of Supertrend (Big Warning!)

Like anything simple, it has a weakness. Supertrend works excellently when the market is clearly moving in one direction (up or down). But when the price is moving "sideways" (crab market), this indicator goes haywire. It will give you green-red-green signals every few hours and will make you pay commissions for nothing.

NexusBull advice: Do not use Supertrend alone. If it says "Green", but the RSI is already at 90 (overbought), you might enter just before the crash. Use it as a final confirmation: if your strategy also says buy, and Supertrend is green, then you have "green light" for profit.

My conclusion? Supertrend is the best friend of those who want to avoid stress. It helps you not sell too quickly when the price rises and gets you out of the market before the disaster is total.
