The world is competing for a resource
Many people have not yet noticed one thing.
The resource that is truly being contested globally,
has not only been oil, nor gold.
But it is——electricity.
Why?
Because AI, large models, computing centers, and the robotics industry are all consuming electricity at an alarming rate.
A large data center's annual electricity usage
can even exceed that of a medium-sized city.
The past logic of energy was:
generation → industry → manufacturing.
But a change is happening now:
electricity is beginning to be directly converted into computing power and digital assets.
Computing centers, AI inference, blockchain networks, in essence, are all converting electricity into digital value.
This is also why many countries around the world have started to frantically build data centers, energy bases, and computing networks.
In a sense,
the future competition
may not just be about resources and population,
but rather——
whoever has more electricity will have more computing power.
And computing power is becoming the new infrastructure of the digital age.
