Little Penguin Notes | Should We Be Polite to AI?

Recently, while researching cryptocurrencies with AI, I read a very interesting discussion: an article about whether we should be polite to AI? Here are a few key communication points:

- Saying please and thank you to AI does not affect accuracy.

- Asking AI to role-play as an expert, closed questions are actually less accurate.

- Providing examples is still the strongest technique today.

- Letting AI ask questions step by step to gather information is better than throwing all requirements at once.

- Stay neutral and don't imply your preferences, otherwise AI will only cater to you.

After 2025, the rise of reasoning models will render many old prompt techniques ineffective. Being able to express requirements in a structured manner is key.

However, there's a part in the middle that I really like: being polite to AI is not for AI, it's so that you don’t become a person who bosses everyone around (of course, some people are also afraid that AI might have memory one day and hold grudges 😂).

In short: focus less on how to phrase things and more on how to clearly express your needs is the most important!
