Elon Musk and Reid Hoffman invested in PayPal during its early days and achieved remarkable success in Silicon Valley.
But today, each is heading towards a different cryptocurrency.
Hoffman is betting on Ethereum, owning approximately $6,100,000 of it, along with an NFT of the Cryptopunk type that he purchased for 150 ETH.
As for Musk, he continues to support Bitcoin, with Tesla and SpaceX together owning about $1,300,000,000 of BTC, according to Arkham and Traders Union data.
The difference in vision reflects a broader divide in the crypto community between those who prefer smart decentralization (ETH) and those who bet on the first digital asset (BTC).
The question remains... Does Ethereum's bet prevail? Or does Bitcoin continue to dominate the scene?
