The Regional Corregedoria of the Federal Police in Rio de Janeiro has provisionally suspended Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL) from the position of clerk at the Federal Police Station in Angra dos Reis, in the Fluminense Green Coast. The suspension is valid until the final decision of the Administrative Disciplinary Process (PAD) initiated on January 27, 2026, to investigate unjustified absences.
The process was opened after the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro lost his mandate as a federal deputy on December 18, 2025. With the end of the mandate, the Federal Police determined Eduardo's return to the position in the corporation, from which he was absent to exercise parliamentary function, but he did not reassume. According to the ordinance, he was said to have intentionally and unjustifiably been absent for more than 30 consecutive days.
The measure is included in Ordinance No. 142, dated February 10, 2026, signed by the regional corregedor of the Federal Police in the state, and it determines the surrender of the functional badge and firearm. The publication in the Official Gazette of the Union occurred this Thursday (26), when the deadline of five business days began to count. The PAD may result in the dismissal of the employee, who has been in the United States since February 2025 and is a defendant for coercion during the process related to his actions abroad against Brazilian authorities.
