Iran's Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref has reportedly informed officials he plans to take charge of the country during wartime, according to Iranian state media.
There was notably no mention of President Pezeshkian's ability to carry out his duties.
Earlier Saturday, security forces blocked roads near his offices in Tehran.
