Bitcoin's Weak Start to 2026
Bitcoin is officially closing out the first 50 days of 2026 with a brutal 23% drawdown, marking one of the heaviest starts to a year on record. We already absorbed a heavy 10% hit in January, and February is currently dragging us down another 15%, setting the market up for a rare and painful back-to-back monthly decline.
The primary issue right now is fading institutional support colliding with a hawkish macroeconomic environment. We just watched US spot ETFs record their fifth consecutive week of withdrawals, bleeding over $400 million out of the market in just a matter of days. With the price currently chopping around the $68,000 range, the risk of a deeper breakdown is very real. If the bulls cannot reclaim the momentum, the technical structure points toward a potential slide down to the $58,000 to $56,000 support zones where past cycles have historically found a floor. Keep your leverage entirely out of the market right now and wait for the institutional outflows to finally exhaust themselves. #Bitcoin
