On September 1, 2025, an independent miner mined block 912,632 in the Bitcoin network. His equipment's power was 2.4 PH/s, and the total reward for the block reached 3.147 BTC, which at that time was approximately $340,400.

It is known that the block contained 2775 transactions. Its processing was provided by the mining pool Solo CK. It is worth noting that this is already the 306th instance where a solo miner managed to find a block on their own.

Financial analyst Jacob King expressed doubts about the true 'solo' nature of mining:

A 'true' solo miner would have several setups in the range of TH/s, and finding a block for him would be like winning the lottery. But here we see 2.53 PH/s — this is industrial-scale equipment. A company is definitely behind this.

King also criticized the dominance of large players in mining, noting that Bitcoin is an extremely centralized system.

According to him, the majority of mining is carried out by only a few participants who try to create the illusion of thousands of players, and this is not a case of David defeating Goliath, but rather a situation where Goliath calls himself David.
