🔴 P2P Scam in Pakistan

P2P trading is growing very fast in Pakistan. However, along with this, scams are also increasing. Every trader should definitely understand these common scams and ways to avoid them.

---

🔴 Common Tactics of P2P Scams

1. Fake Payment Screenshot Scam

The scammer sends a fake EasyPaisa/JazzCash/Bank screenshot.

The seller thinks the money has arrived, but in reality, it does not transfer at all.

2. Third-Party Fraudulent Payments

The scammer uses a hacked account or stolen wallet instead of sending their own money.

Result: Your account gets frozen when the real owner complains.

3. Overpayment Scam

The scammer sends extra money and asks to return the surplus.

Later, the payment is reversed, and the seller incurs a loss.

4. Bank Account Freezing Scam

If you accept payment from a fraudster, FIA/Bank may freeze your account for investigation.

5. Fake Buyer/Seller Accounts

Trading is done by creating EasyPaisa/JazzCash accounts using fake CNIC or stolen accounts.

The real account holder complains, and the money gets blocked.

✅ Solutions / Ways to Avoid

1. Always Use Exchange Escrow – Never deal over WhatsApp/direct transfer.

2. Trade with Verified Traders – Prefer high completion rates and older accounts.

3. Verify Payment – Do not trust only the screenshot, check with your bank/EasyPaisa app.

4. Do Not Accept Third-Party Payments – Payments should always be in the name of the same account holder.

5. Save Proof – Keep a screenshot and chat record of every transaction.

6. Set Trading Limits – Avoid excessive trades/amounts in one day.

7. Use Safe Payment Methods – Prefer stable wallets and regulated banks.

⚠️ Important Reminder:

If your EasyPaisa/JazzCash gets blocked, immediately visit Helpline + Branch and provide proof of the sender.

To avoid FIA, always save the sender's CNIC, name, and payment screenshot.
