Three journalists were killed in an Israeli attack on a media vehicle in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese media reports. According to RTHK, one of the deceased was a journalist from Al-Manar TV, operated by Hezbollah, while the other two were from a different media organization. The Israeli military admitted to killing the Al-Manar TV journalist, accusing him of being a Hezbollah member disguised as a journalist.
This incident marks the second time since the outbreak of hostilities that Israel has been accused of targeting journalists in Lebanon. Lebanese President Michel Aoun condemned the attack as a blatant crime, stating it violated international laws that protect journalists during wartime. The Committee to Protect Journalists also condemned the attack, emphasizing that journalists, regardless of their media affiliation, should not be considered legitimate targets.
