While Minister for Public Administration Tibor Navracsics has maintained a moderate stance, urging the Ministry of Interior to "do its job" if wrongdoing exists, the government has largely dismissed these claims as foreign interference.

Geopolitical Tension and Conflicting Polls
The domestic struggle is further complicated by a shadow of international intrigue. While Orbán claims the EU and Ukraine are meddling to prevent a Fidesz victory, the opposition and independent media point toward Russian involvement.

Recent reports suggest that Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto may have provided "running commentaries" to Moscow regarding closed-door European Council summits. These allegations of leaked information have caused significant friction within NATO and the EU, adding a layer of geopolitical urgency to the upcoming vote.
