A little bit of history, it is good to remind the Chileans, just like all countries in the world, that Venezuela has always been and still is one of the countries that has received the largest number of immigrants in times of greatest need. Chileans should not forget that when the coup d'état of Augusto Pinochet occurred in September 1973, against a government similar to this one, led by Salvador Allende (The Popular Unity), millions of Chileans sought refuge here in Venezuela and were received with open arms. I am an exceptional witness; my father, who was a masonry foreman, was assigned three of them and brought them to my house, and we treated them as part of the family; many Chileans were assigned to teach at universities, and a Chilean taught me at the university, and I can keep listing many cases that I knew. So what are we talking about? We must remind the Chileans that one never knows the twists of history and that no country is exempt from experiencing calamities. Today for me, tomorrow for you. That's how things are.
