I thought I finally found it a way to prove who I am online once and be done forever.
No more uploads. No more waiting. No more random rejections.
Blockchain identity, they said. Sounds perfect, right?
So I looked closer.
At first, I was impressed. A wallet full of verified credentials. One click, and I’m done. Clean. Simple.
But then the cracks started showing.
Who do I trust to issue these credentials? If it’s the same big players nothing changed. If it’s open then what stops fake ones?
And then the tokens showed up.
That’s when it hit me.
People won’t care about identity. They’ll care about rewards. Farming. Exploiting. Turning “proof” into profit.
And just like that the whole thing felt shaky.
I still want it to work. I really do.
But tell me honestly
Are we building something real here or just another system people will learn to game?
