Sign gets called infrastructure, but that word hides the real tension.
What is actually being made portable here: proof, trust, or just cleaner metadata?
If an attestation travels across systems, does its authority travel too, or does recognition still stop at the same old institutional gate?
If records can be verified globally, why does enforcement remain local?
And when something breaks, who fixes meaning: the protocol, the issuer, or the institution that never gave up control in the first place?
That is the part I keep looking at.
Not whether it sounds elegant.
Whether it still holds together once real-world friction shows up.
