Lower-risk core (big caps):
BTC has the most liquidity and often leads market cycles.
ETH: the most important smart contract ecosystem; it benefits from DeFi and app activity.
BNB: used in the Binance ecosystem and on the BNB Chain.
Medium-risk "picks and shovels" (infrastructure):
LINK is the backbone of many DeFi protocols, and demand for it goes up as the number of on-chain transactions grows.
ARB is the leader in Ethereum L2 scaling and usually does better when ETH activity goes up.
High beta (growth) with more risk:
SOL: fast-moving L1; can do better when the market is risky, but it loses a lot of value.
Speculative (highest risk/meme):
